Wealthy Affiliate – Time Waster or Life Changer?
Hey, there! Thank you for stopping by! I’m going to take a chance and guess that if you’re reading this, you’re likely doing a little research on a company called Wealthy Affiliate and you’re researching to see whether it’s worth your time or not to sign up and be a part of their platform.
your thought process. Trust me. I’ve also been there. It was only a few weeks ago I found myself in your shoes. I had been on a path (or several) leading me to the Wealthy Affiliate sign up page. It was free and decided I had nothing to lose. You with me? Nothing to lose. That’s always something to consider when looking into options that guarantee a promising future.
My Starting Point
I stumbled upon Wealthy Affiliate and some really glowing reviews. The reviews made me want to check it out for myself. I was impressed that I needed no money or knowledge up front. I’m an educated person, but not in the online marketing world. I joined WA for free and began some free training courses.
I spent a few minutes on the site, and was impressed from the get-go. Both of the website’s founders, Kyle and Carson, made an appearance and welcomed me to the site. (What other owners do you know of whom do this? There are hundreds of thousands of members within the WA platform, and they personally welcome each one!) Anyway, I was then hit with several messages from other WA members. Actual, real humans, reached out to encourage and introduce themselves within the community and made me feel more than welcomed.
The WA platform reminds me a slight bit of Facebook. The concept is similar. You’re able to post things, like profiles of other members, have private conversations, etc. It is different in the fact WA’s platform also allows you to connect with like-minded folks who are always there to encourage and help. It is a business platform where one can also find training and ask for help. I compare it to Facebook, but really only aesthetically. There is so much more to the WA platform, and you’ll see for yourself upon checking it out. I guarantee you, you’ll not find another online community like this one.
I was completely sold on what Wealthy Affiliate could do for me within the first day of signing up for a free account. I was offered training and advice, which I took seriously. I created a live website in literally seconds. This is no lie. WA partners with WordPress and with the tutorials, I was up and running. That’s the easy part. WA is not claiming that your content will just magically appear out of thin air. They offered more training. I wanted more. I wanted full access to the site that had already made me feel validated. I signed up for a Premium membership.
I was well on my way to publishing my first article with legit content. I followed the training and began to grow my website. I enjoy writing and so this process was a fun one. The help from the WA community continued to grow and it was obvious that Wealthy Affiliate members are there to help. It’s not a competition within WA. It is an opportunity for like-minded folks to help others out so in the end, everyone experiences success.
I mentioned that I’m an educated person. I have a degree. I’m a teacher who’s taught in public education for 12 years. I’m homeschooling our kiddos this year and learning all it takes to create a successful income from home. Because the money I have isn’t growing on trees, I’ve been smart about not spending a dime unless I think it’s legit. (This is me in general. I’m frugal.) I have researched WA and feel it is legit. Some others claim otherwise. Why?
There are some reviews out there (check them out) that had me second-guessing my choice to join Wealthy Affiliate’s Premium membership program. After further reviewing these negative reviews, I can say I am more determined than ever to make WA work for me. You see, if you knew me, you’d know that if someone tells me I can’t do something, I will work my tail off to prove that I CAN. I’ve grown increasingly frustrated by reading others’ negative reviews. Let me explain why.
Case in point – they give up. Nowhere on the WA website, do the founders, Kyle and Carson, say that this is an opportunity that will make you money overnight. If you’re an educated person, you know there are few opportunities in this world that actually allow this scenario to happen, unless you won the lottery. Everything takes some effort, no matter what line of work you’re choosing. The Negative Nellies out there are claiming that they expected immediate results, and upon not doing so, they left WA. Some never even tried out the Premium membership. Shame on them. If you quit something, do you ever really get to see what could have been?
I Think Not
I ran across this quote by Bob Zuppke, “All Quitters Are Good Losers“. Think about that for a second. It’s completely accurate. Out of frustration with the naysayers, I write this post. I sincerely believe that with anything in life you’re considering, it is important to research on your own and make an educated decision based on what’s right for you and your family.
Wealthy Affiliate is right for me and my family. I’ve got two websites up and running and I’m working on adding content on a regular basis. Want to check out the other one? It’s in its infant stage, but check it out HERE if you’re curious. Is it work? Absolutely! I will not tell you that this happened overnight. I can’t even tell you I’ve made any money. I will tell you that I have invested $19 and it has absolutely surpassed that in value in the past few weeks. I am not in the business of being scammed. I will work to prove others wrong. The effort will release its reward after I decide not to quit. I am not quitting. I will give WA my best effort and I’ll be here to tell you all about it.
The Real Deal
My successes (or perhaps the potential lack thereof) will be posted here. I do not intend to lead anyone astray, just as I wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of a giant ball of lies. In keeping my transparency, I’ll continue to write about my happenings within WA. No doubt that will help keep me accountable to you. Much of our life should be about helping and encouraging others to achieve their dreams. Please believe me when I say that I want to help and encourage you. If this WA journey turns out to be a total scam, rest assured, I will be the first to tell you about it. You have my word. Do I feel WA is a scam? No. I believe it has the potential to be a life changer. Follow me on my journey. 🙂
I encourage you to look more into this opportunity. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to write them in the comment box below. I would love to help you in any way that I can. I’m only a beginner in this journey, and will never claim to know it all, but I have nothing to hide and sincerely want to help you. Cheers to your success!
Ciao For Now,
Happier At Home
