Make Money Doing Something You Enjoy
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. I don’t intend on making this a long post; I just want to offer some food for thought and give you some background on why I’m choosing to become a blogger. Are you doing something you love to do? If so, awesome! That’s where I want to be. I hope to have the freedom to love what I do and make some income from it.
I Tried The Nine-to-Five
I’ve been working for someone, a boss since I was 16. I babysat for several families. I cashiered in a small department store. I was able to meet some pretty great people and learn quite a bit about life from my older coworkers. In college, I coached high school volleyball and worked weekends as a housekeeper at a hotel. I began my teaching career soon after getting my degree and have been teaching elementary/middle school students ever since.
Gone seem to be the days of preparing lesson plans and making copies. I’m on a new journey. My kids are much more important to me than working around the clock to try to provide for them. My husband and I realize life is short, and if we’re spending quality time with our kids, we’ll all benefit. (He is also a teacher, and still at it. We’re down to one income as of a couple of weeks ago.) We’re at peace with our decision to home school our littles and it is exciting.
Something I’ve tried before and failed miserably at is blogging. I did try in 2012. I wrote two posts. That was it. Done. I had high hopes and a vision that it would turn into something great. That was seven years ago. Nothing came from it. I remember being extremely frustrated at the process and I wasn’t happy with what I had published. I gave up.
Life throws curve balls. Are you swinging and missing? I’ve been there. Trust me. I have spent much time trying to find some side gigs to help support our family’s income. What I’ve found has been exciting. It’s only been 10 days, but I’m seeing small steps of success and I’d like to share it with you. Read on.
Doing What I Love – Making Money In The Process
Writing. Editing. Publishing. Blogging. Sharing experiences with an audience that can relate. I’m finding some creative outlet in writing about our daily experiences at home. Stories of homeschooling, examples of what the kiddos are creating in the kitchen, field trips, impromptu dance parties. All of it. I enjoy sharing what we’re doing. But how am I able to enjoy it and not worry about finances? How can I use my love of writing and profit at the same time?
I’ve Found A Solution
Check out what I’ve been working on behind the scenes of my blog posting. I’m confident that you’ll be impressed with what you see. I’m not here to sell you anything. I just hope that my success can be your success too, if you want it to be. I fully believe in what I’m learning how to do and have a bright future ahead, providing ample opportunities to increase our family’s income – all while staying home getting to enjoy the little humans in our home.
