Loving Life At Home

It Has Begun

Possible Immediate Chaos

And so it begins… life as a stay at home mom! Who knew? Being home with our kids is something I have always wanted to do. Dreamed of it, actually. Both my husband and I have college degrees in education and have taught for more than a decade. This year, we decided to take the leap… I’m more than ready.

Home School

YES! I could not be happier about this decision. Our kiddos love the idea. We haven’t officially started yet, but will be very soon. I am excited to spend quality time with them learning, experimenting, cooking, and having fun. The husband goes back to school soon, and then it is official. I’ll be home with the kids. Every. Single. Day.

Perks

I’m looking forward to the perks of this new job of mine. Coffee in the morning! Showers at 9:00 AM (or never). Wearing pajamas into the afternoon (if said shower doesn’t happen). No primping. No boss. One-on-one time with the littles. Learning with them. Engaging with them. Going on little trips with them. Simply…getting to know every little detail about them.

Disadvantages

Of course, there will be some. I’m foreseeing several and we haven’t even begun. Just thinking about all the possible snags to our new routine gives me anxiety! Let’s talk about the elephant in the room, shall we? Two full-time incomes down to one. YIKES! Have I mentioned anxiety? We have a peace about this decision and we are certain it is the best for our family.

The Remedy

I’m a researcher. I’m a problem-solver. I am insanely organized. I love to learn, and am teachable. These traits have to be good, right? Of course they are – or at least I will continue to tell myself that. Anyway, because of my desire to make this work, I have exhausted a plethora of search engines, blogs, social media sites, and videos as to how I can help add to our family’s income…from home.

The Ongoing Search

What I have found so far is that I need to work on my patience. I’ve learned that taking surveys online might pay a penny or two, but it’s definitely not worth my time. I found a few transcription gigs, and I’ve been doing okay with that. I don’t love it, though. I’ve looked into virtual assistant opportunities, editing, copywriting, blogging, affiliate marketing… pause. Have you been down this same path? Look no further!

Future

While I don’t know what the future holds as far as my adding to our income, I am fully committed to trying to make some money while staying at home with the littles. Can I let you in on a secret? I think I found the answer. No doubt about it, it will not be easy, but no one wants this opportunity to work more than me. There’s nothing stopping me from attaining a desirable income in the comfort of my pj’s and slippers.

My Secret

As mentioned above, I’ve spent tons of time researching possibilities. I was almost at the end of my searching due to frustration, when an opportunity came my way via a website I’d never heard of. Please click here to find out all about my ‘plan’ to become successful from home!

Cheers

Here’s to a bright horizon in the days, weeks, months, and years ahead. I am excited to continue this journey and share with you how it is working out for our family. If you’re in a similar place that I am, check out what I’m pursuing. It’ll be worth all of your time and more! If you don’t think so, you can come back here and yell at me. 🙂

If you have your own online success story, I would love to hear about it in the comments. Cheers to your success as well!

Ciao for Now,

Happier At Home
