Escape Your Bad Boss

Bad Bosses

You know one.  I know one.  In fact, we could probably list several between us!  You even know bosses who you’ve never even worked for and know they’re bad based on stories your own friends and family have shared with you.  You think, gee, I’m lucky I don’t work for THAT boss!

20% or 80%Image from

Are you part of the 1-in-5? Statistics are showing that 80% of people hate their boss.  Do you dread showing up for someone who doesn’t value you?  Do you ever feel that if you were just given some positive feedback you would feel appreciated?  Are you tired of having to rely on your coworkers or family to help raise your self-confidence after a long day of negativity from your boss?

Me Too

I’ve been where you are.  I loathed the crude environment I was once working in.  Initial sadness turned to bitter anger and I began taking my emotions out on family and friends.  Enough became enough.  I couldn’t do it any longer.  The best feeling was walking out of that building for the very last time.

What Next?

Something new!  Something exciting and fun!  Work from home.  Schedule your own hours.  Set your own schedules.  Report to no one!  I took the leap and I am so glad that I did.  My life has changed for the better and my family is reaping the benefits!  Be your own boss.  Get out of the poisonous environment you’re in.  You don’t need to stay there.  You’re underappreciated and it is taking a toll on you.

Let Me Help!

First of all, let me apologize for the way you’ve been treated by your boss.  I get it.  I have been there.  If it weren’t for a supportive husband and coworkers, I would have never made it as long as I did.  BUT… I have found success and can work from my own home!  Read about the opportunity here. The community is amazing and you will feel supported every step of the way.

No one deserves to be treated like dirt.  Take advantage of all the online world has to offer and begin working for YOU.  Check it out.  What do you have to lose?  After all, it can’t get any worse, can it?

I know you’ve been there; you still might be there.  I would love to hear your story.  Leave a comment below about your situation and vent.  It helps to get it off your chest.  Promise!  Then after you tell me your story, check out how you can be successful from the place you call home!

I fully agree that people should escape a bad boss or in any case take action. There are a lot of things you can do within your organization, however, if you really have a bad one, then you better leave. You took it out on family and friends, many others stay and their health is affected! This is really the last thing that should happen to anyone. I am surprised to read that as many as 80% of employees hate their boss.

I believe there are many of us who are hesitant to look for another job/company, afraid for a repeat, therefore your suggestion to start for yourself is a very good one. The internet offers many possibilities for each and everyone of us, you just have to find the best option for yourself. Thanks for helping in that respect.

Hi, Jerry. Thanks for commenting. It is truly miserable to be getting up each day dreading what lies ahead. You’re right, too, about how it can also impact one’s health. Life is far too short to stay in a rut.

Working from home is a dream to most workers but very few people summon the courage to quit their job in order to go for a much more better alternative. I like the suggestion of working from home and the platform you suggested too seems to be excellent after I checked it out. It is true that most bosses are bad and their level of approach or treatment is not always nice. Mine too is not an exception and I will try to make use of the option you shared .

Hey, Roland!  Thanks for commenting!  It’s no fun working for someone who doesn’t appreciate or value you. It’s a great thing that life offers us other avenues. Check out Wealthy Affiliate. It’s such a great platform!  If you have any questions, I’d love to help you out!  Cheers!

Ah, this is true, one who gets a good and friendly boss is very lucky, that’s not something everybody comes by. I left my job because of my boss, he nags when there’s a little mistake and never commends when everything is done right. He grunts after gibing a pay rise and I was just tired of all the nonsense so I left. A friend of mine had her boss make sexual advances. The list of story goes in. This is a good topic and I like the way you have put it here on your site. Thanks!

Henderson, so glad you had the courage to leave. I feel terrible about your friend, too.  Wealthy Affiliate has worked for me!  So glad to have some options!  So far, I’m liking being my own boss!  🙂
